As hard as we may try, it is only natural to gravitate towards monotones and neutrals for winters. These hues are all around us, in tune with the weather and hence become a part of our everyday outfits as well.
But sometimes we just need to add that one colour to the palette which not only pulls the entire look together but instantly brightens it up. For me, that colour is Yellow. I do understand that the bright, sunshine yellow can be a hard one to carry, but start by incorporating subtle hints of it and you’ll see your outfit instantly become brighter and cheerier. After all, who said that core winters need to be a fashion bore.
I wore this yellow, cable-knit jumper last weekend over an Insta-live session and so many of you asked me about it. That’s when the idea of this post came up, because in all honestly I had just thrown it over my regular pair of jeans and the sleep-in T-Shirt. For this particular look, I glammed a little by pairing this jumper with these buttoned, slit pants and added another layer with the leather jacket. To ensure that the look is polished and slender, I ditched my go-to winter sneakers and opted for these single strap sandals in the same shade as those of my pants.
Are you guys liking this look? On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest how are you ranking your yellow crush for the season?
