Keeping fashion as the only parameter, my consciousness towards climate change has heightened with the fact that we primarily have a delayed Fall season or none at all now. I still remember that back in school October 1st used to be the day for transition into our winter uniform. But here we are into November with just a nudge in the air as a signal for Fall.
And though it might be early to talk chic trench coats and giant fuzzy sweaters, I still wanted to start the transition into Fall fashion by incorporating a few basics carried through my summer wardrobe.

A no-brainer way to transform yourself into an autumn state of mind is to change up your colour palette. Make a wardrobe shift from brighter hues and candy pastels to darker colours and warm earthy tones to match the summer into fall transitioning weather. The darker navy colour of this shift-dress is well balanced with the lighter, vintage print which makes it a perfect wear for these switching times.
Thigh High Boots
Every season I end up falling in love (again) with a pair of thigh high boots. I often have to remind myself that as a fashion influencer I need to project new and on-trend pieces from my wardrobe, but until that reminder it is difficult to get me out of these Zara boots. I can practically wear them with everything because they are that comfortable. A great pair of thigh high boots is an absolute addition for your wardrobe and can instantly transform any summer look into the perfect Fall look.
The Right Accessories and Makeup
I have always maintained that the right accessories and complimentary make-up play a huge role in completing a look. Take for instance a beret. For me personally, a beret in summer is an accessory but a beret in Fall is a mood. Same goes for something like a structured bag. But if you feel it’s still way too hot to wear an outfit like mine, the easiest way to update your look from summer to fall is to update your makeup. A bold, dark lip is a great way to introduce Fall into your look and add some edge. Once again, the colour palette is at play here. Darker browns, mauves, fuchsias and reds are colours perfectly complimenting Fall. Here, I am wearing Soar lip pencil from MAC, which is a great hue for the transition weather.
